Latest Update for Hair Salons Serving Hot Drinks to Clients

Government guidance updated for close contact services in England

On September 11th the Government’s official guidance regarding PPE and refreshments has been changed for close contact services including beauty salons, spas and therapists.

Hair Salons offering hot drinks to clients:

Clients can now be given hot or cold drinks, providing they are served in disposable cups or bottles. Clients should only remove their face coverings to have a drink and must keep them on at all other times. Salons should not provide food to be eaten by clients in the salon.

Wellbeing Group have a large selection of disposable coffee cups and lids available in stock for next day delivery, find out more by clicking this link – https://thewellbeinggroup.co.uk/products/consumables/cups-lids/

PPE requirement update for hair salons:

Goggles can now be worn as an alternative to face visors plus a Type II face mask. Goggles must be polycarbonate safety spectacles or equivalent.
